Elder Growth is scheduled to be shown at Crypticon during their short film fest. The Indie Short Film fest starts at 11:30 pm, Saturday, November 5th. Elder Growth is scheduled to be the last film shown, one of seven.

Behind the Scenes
Nathan Wakefield made it a point to take some pictures and videos during filming for a behind the scenes look. It's about half the length of the actual film, and if nothing else is indicative of how much time goes into making even a 30 minute film.

About Elder Growth
If you're here, it means you've seen Elder Growth and decided to check out the link provided in the film or been exposed to the address somewhere else. In either case, this is the place where all relevant information about the film is going to be posted.
For a start, here are some quick facts about Elder Growth:
1. Elder Growth is the first film Shane Wheeler (me) has created.
2. Elder Growth was produced for roughly ~$1000, give or take a little.
3. Elder Growth was shot over three days, but took several months of planning and three weeks of editing to finish.
4. During shooting, Sean Harbert broke his clavicle on the second night of shooting, but came back to shoot the rest of the film for the third and final day.
5. Elder Growth was shot in one location, in it's entirety.
6. For those unfamiliar, the content of Elder Growth draws heavily upon the works of H.P. Lovecraft and the Cthulhu Mythos.
7. The majority of the film was edited/enhanced using open source freeware sources such as GIMP, DVD Flick, and Audacity.
Plans for Elder Growth
After making the rounds at film festivals, plans for Elder Growth are open for the future. Possibilities include being bundled in with other movie projects for sale or a move to youtube, but the sky is the limit.
